Mouth guards

Mouth guards are custom-made in our dental laboratory according to an impression of the patient’s upper or lower jaw.

The relaxing mouth guards cover the biting surfaces of the upper or lower teeth, stabilising and relaxing the jaw and masseter muscles. Everyday stress, experienced by almost everyone, can also affect our dental health.

Bruxism, pathological teeth grinding associated with unconscious bad habits, is most commonly stress-related. The bulk of teeth grinding happens at night, when we are unaware of the strong clenching forces that quickly wear away our tooth enamel.

In time, teeth become worn down, eroded, and painful. Further complications include problems in the jaw joint area such as scraping, clicking, popping, and pain. These symptoms can be avoided by wearing special mouth guards.
