Breast lift

The lowered position of the breasts caused by stretching of the skin and loss of glandular tissue creates an aesthetic problem for many women.

Breasts that are of a satisfactory size but have lost their elasticity undergo surgical lift surgery or mastopexy.

With this operation, only the skin is reduced without glandular tissue reduction.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATION

Breast lift or mastopexy is a surgical method that gives the breast a new look, firmness and position.

Breast lifting is often done in conjunction with implant placement to give a nicer profile and breast volume and therefore a better end result.

PRECAUTIONS

As with breast enlargement or reduction, the recommendations are similar: the recovery time required depends on the surgery being performed and the patient.

Usually, help is needed during the first and second days, after which the patient can usually take care of herself.

On the second day after the procedure, they can function normally, although it is individual.

The return to daily activities can usually follow after 10 – 12 days, but it also depends on the individual.

Greater effort and heavy lifting over the next 4 to 6 weeks should be avoided.

It is necessary to follow the doctor’s instructions for a speedy recovery.

It is usually recommended that you come to several postoperative controls so that the surgeon can monitor the course of recovery.

SIDE EFFECTS / COMPLICATIONS

Each surgery carries certain risks, such as the risks of infection, bleeding and swelling.

These complications occur rarely and can usually be avoided. Although pain is usually minor after surgery, when present, it is easily alleviated with appropriate medication.

For the sake of safety, reliability and the success of the procedure, during the consultation, the surgeon and anesthesiologist will explain in detail the risks of the surgery and provide instructions that should be followed during the postoperative period.

SET OF TRATAMENT

The package includes: surgery under general anesthesia, postoperative surveillance, required medications, controls and bandages in the first postoperative days, removal of sutures, and necessary controls within a year.

The package does not include: pre-operative findings for general anesthesia (ECG blood test, blood type, RTG), consultations with other specialists (diabetes specialist, asthma, high pressure thyroid gland, transfusiologist).
